Hi everyone,
This team meeting will take place IN OUR BAY at usual time of 5pm.
We will be clarifying the requirement for electronics during the meeting and relay some suggestions regarding this from our adviser.
We will also assembly our rocket back together in preperation for the parade on Saturday with I will have the detail below.
----------------------------------------------------
From Janna Henzl:
At 4pm on Friday (Nov. 15), I ask that you be ready to load your vehicle in the Student Design Centre. You won't miss it - we have a 53' flatbed again this year, so it'll take up most of the bay! Please bring enough manpower/ramps/whatever else you may need to lift your vehicle onto the flatbed and secure it. It's about 5 ft off the ground, so please take that into consideration. As well, if your team could stick around to help decorate or help load other vehicles onto the flatbed, it would be much appreciated! If everyone shows up on time, we should be out by 5:30, so that you can all enjoy your Friday evening!
On Saturday morning, the flatbed will be leaving at 8:30am to line up in the parade cue. You do not need to be there (except UWAFT, if your vehicle will be driving in the parade I would need one of you to drive it down with the flatbed)! Instead, I ask that you and your team members that would like to walk in the parade meet at 9:30am in the parade line. Start at University/King and walk down King St. towards Uptown - I think we usually end up around Ezra, but the parade line-up hasn't been released yet (should be today or tomorrow). Please wear covies, hard hats, or any team gear that you have! I will have Santa hats and reindeer ears for those that don't have their own, and we will be handing out candy canes at the curbside during the parade.
The parade starts at 10am. However, since we're usually near the end (alphabetical parade order), we probably won't step off until 10:30am. It's about an hour and a half walk to downtown Kitchener (wear comfortable shoes!). Everyone will be able to ride back on the flatbed to E5, where I ask that your team sticks around to help dismantle and unload the float. We should be completed unloading and cleaned up by 1pm, so the rest of Saturday is yours!
